🇪🇸El castellano es la lengua oficial del Estado español. Actualmente es sinónimo de español, pero en ocasiones resulta preferible conservar el término castellano para referirse al dialecto románico nacido en el Reino de Castilla durante la Edad Media, o al dialecto del español que se habla actualmente en esta región.

🇬🇧Castilian is the official language of the Spanish state. Nowadays it’s a synonym for Spanish, but in some occasions it’s preferable to keep the Castilian concept in order to refer to the Romance dialect that emerged from the Kingdom of Castilla during the Middle Ages, or to the dialect of Spanish that’s spoken nowadays in this region.
