☿ making a movie is casting a spell I make cinematic alchemy with Dionne Copland at CyberCraft Video ☾ 🜚 movies we’ve made 🜁 Cold Wind Blowing “A drama-free Christmas.” 🜂 Inferno “Girls to die for.” 🜃 Haxx Deadroom “Turn on. Jack in. Drop dead!” 🜄 Computer Hearts “The computer-fucking movie.” I received my BFA in Film Semiotics and Film Production in 2017 (top of my class 😎) In my last year of university I produced and shot the feature-length queer slasher movie Cuties, directed by Joshua Gratton. In 2014, I wrote, directed, and starred in the short film S.I.D.S, which played at a bunch of film festivals and won me awards at the Heavy Hitting Horrorfest for Rookie of the Year and Most Fearless Performance. Was amazed by the film Taking Tiger Mountain by Tom Huckabee (Bill Paxton’s first movie) and worked my butt off to get Vinegar Syndrome’s Blu Ray out. Find me on Letterboxd for some of my film theory. And reach out if you want to watch any of my weird transgender fucked-up body horror movies. Currently living for Alexandra Heller-Nicholas’ review of Cold Wind Blowing: “Driven by writer/director Dionne Copland and produced, edited and shot by Louise Weard, if horror sans the male gaze is something you hunger for, this micro-budget indie is custom made for you.” And if you need a cinematographer in Vancouver, I’ll bring my RED camera 😘
