I sold my first drawing when I was in the third grade. I sold to a friend in my class that watched me draw this picture of Bart Simpson. I had no intentions of selling this picture, I was just doodling and not listening to the teacher 🙄. She said she had to get the $1 from her father. Skip to the next day in school. Of course I’m hype 🤩 because I’m about to sell something I drew 🤑. I see my friend and she hands me the money but not only the money she also had some advice from her father 🤔. He said I’ll give you the dollar but you should charge less for your work 😕🥶. Although it sounds harsh, it was what I needed to hear to develop the drive I have to push myself to be better. I had my first encounter with a hater early in life 🤣. My friend’s father passed before he could see the work I’m doing now. I would’ve liked to thank him for the advice. I didn’t let it crush me, it didn’t make me give up, It made me work harder and I got better. Advice you receive may not be wanted (by you) or asked for (by you) but it may be help.
