Iβm working on a series of audio-based exhibitions. My exhibition SITES OF POWER is live online at black-imagination.com. This work is being amplified in collaboration with over 20 community-based organizations. Black books matter and my book, BLACK IMAGINATION, was published by McSweeneyβs in February 2020 and includes and centers the voices of the most vulnerable people in our communities like LGBTQIA+ Black youth, unsheltered Black folks, neurodivergent and/or differently-abled Black folks, Elders, children, Black Women as well as Black folks who are immigrants or refugees. πππππππππππππππ We are not a monolith and our joy is our birthright. I am here because enthusiastic friends brought me in and I am grateful. People are not disposable to me. I am a mother, a sister, and someone who prefers to co-create large-scale global projects. I support my creative tendencies with my consulting business NONWHITEWORKS. My areas of practice in consulting are antiracism, outreach, and marketing. I currently live in Seattle. I work globally and love to travel. I have 3 citizenships (Trinidad, Canada, & USA) and loving friends around the world. Iβm heavy on protecting my peace. π€ www.Patreon.com/tashiko
