Linktr.ee/Infusedartwork I'm Canadian Artist. My main medium is glass but I also paint, create surface design for print on fun wearable and home decor items and have just recently jumped in to the awesome world of NFTs and digitalart. I'm an introvert and a deep thinker. To me, an open mind is a rare and sexy thing. I prefer bold but classy, fun yet responsible. I think my art reflects that. I filled out the admission forms for Art College but, needing to earn a living, I ended up in the corporate world, first as geological tech and later had an award winning career in the promotional products industry. I kept taking art classes on weekends and at night school or I’d get a 'how to' book at the library and just create whatever vision was calling me to make it. I think I was born an artist because even when you tried to plunk me into a different occupation, that inner creator kept popping up everywhere. In 2010 I dared to dream and even though I was a single mom I decided to go for it as an artist full time. So I opened Infused Glassworks and dove in. Kiln formed glass art is pretty much a self-taught craft. Universities tend to focus on blowing mostly and a little casting. What I do is called fusing. Its the sweet spot in between. It’s a path filled with experiments. Perfect for my happy ‘Mad scientist’ personality. I often need to put on my 3D sudoku thinking cap to figure out all the layers cohesively. I've won a few awards along the way and was invited to participate in some prestigious events and publications. It’s been awesome and I continue to work with glass but in 2016 I started feeling inspired to paint. I took workshops and convinced fellow artisans to come teach at my studio. Painting has definitely influenced my glass art and vice versa. It also inspired the courage to dive into the world of surface design and pattern making. Sometimes I look at a finished piece and think OMG that would look so cool on a pair of yoga pants and now in this new world of digital art and NFTs I'm super excited to see where this will lead.
