Al Fudayl ibn Iyad رحمه الله said: “If it is said to you: ‘Do you fear Allah?’ Say: ‘We ask Allah for that’ For if you say yes you have lied and if you say no you have disbelieved.” [Tazkiyat an-Nufus 117]
