Jeromie "Kake King" Jones is highly creative, innovative, and goal-driven, Jeromie Jones, aka the Kate King, is a spearheading Cake Artist, Confectionery Instructor, and Branding Coach who has risen the industry bar and has guided others in doing so as well. He has an extensive background involving custom cake creations, teaching best practices to future baking leaders across the U.S., and business consulting that has supported diverse organizational industries to reach their full potential. Born in Winona, Mississippi, and currently based in Orlando, Florida, Jeromie has always had a strong passion for baking, which became the catalyst for him to transform that initial hobby into a full blown, thriving career. Upon studying at Mississippi University for Women, he proudly became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc and served as the Chapter President, Jeromie began selling desserts from his apartment. This effort was to save up to develop his own bakery business debt-free, which he succeeded in doing by the age of 26. This accomplishment meant that Jeromie was the youngest and first-ever openly gay black bakery owner within the entire state of Mississippi and was featured on CNN. Throughout his career, Jeromie's dedication and work have certainly not gone unnoticed. Between becoming an entrepreneur and working as a Food Service Manager four years, later promoted to the Operations Manager, his cultivated formal skills in residential dining services, banquet dining, catering services has landed him several awards. To date, he was labeled Entrepreneur of The Year by two local organizations within Jackson, received The Gentleman's Award, and earned the VIP Award for Vision, Inspiration, and Purpose. He also received second place in the professional category in a cake competition, amongst many others. Furthermore, he has competed on Food Networks, Cake Wars, and The Food Network Challenge, and currently has five branded products (three are FDA approved) that are in cake supply stores.
