Hi, I am Herbie Mack 👋🏽 I struggled with depression and didn't know how to express my emotions. I was unaware of the signs of suicide ideation, which led to me attempting suicide multiple times.  After my last attempt and years of healing, I was going to keep my suicide attempts to myself until I saw these jaw-dropping numbers. Global suicide rates via World Health Organization; More than 700 000 people die due to suicide every year. For every suicide, there are many more people who attempt suicide. A prior suicide attempt is the most critical risk factor for suicide in the general population. Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among 15-19 year-olds. 77% of global suicides occur in low- and middle-income countries. After seeing these alerting numbers, I realize how it is crucial to share my story and educate others on suicide and how we can prevent it.
