“അദ്വൈതം ആനന്ദം; ദ്വൈതം ജാഗ്രത.” Sufism (Tasawwuf) is the esoteric (inner) dimension of Islam, rooted in the exoteric (outer) teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).It is a path of inner purification, where the seeker moves beyond outward practice into the deeper reality of faith. The word “Sufi” is often connected to Ahl al-Suffah — devoted companions who lived a life of simplicity, Zuhd (detachment), and constant devotion. It is a path where knowledge is not only studied, but experienced (Ma‘rifah) and lived. Balance the Exoteric (Shariah) and Esoteric (Haqiqah) — that is the essence of Sufism.
