Eric "E-Baby" Smith [a writer since he was young] began to take his writing to the stage in 1998; since then, he’s opened for R&B artists Musiq Soul Child, Me’Shell N’degeOcello, & Lyfe Jennings to name a few. After joining Jus Wiggin Entertainment in 1999 [agent: Tracy Wiggs], his “1 Poet Poetical Tour” reached over 150 colleges & universities across the US. In 2014, he was named the Spokenword Billboard Award’s Hot100 Top Ranking Artist of the Year. In 2016, he received Best Poet at the DMV Underground Awards. He has two CDs [“My Thoughts Are In This Ink” & "Inktoxicated"] and a book of haiku poetry ["HAIKU-N-U"].
