Recent PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a focus on neurophysiological correlations between the vagus nerves’ cholinergic pathways, emotional dysregulation, and HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders. Research interests are neuromodulation and physiological substrates that form the basis of cognitive-behavioral symptoms often observed in inflammatory-based psychiatric mental health disorders, in particular trauma-based disorders and suicide phenomena.
