Director at Societe Generale, working as the Chief Data Officer for Soc Gen Intl Ltd (UK) and Global Prime Services. As CDO, I have been involved in areas including - data regulation - GDPR / Personal Data, BCBS239, ensuring that our entity is compliant with the regulation and group approach; - introducing data management concepts / framework to the business incl. ownership, process, control, a data quality framework, managing data exceptions, setting up the relevant governance - this has included working closely on a data sourcing project for liquidity data and the data involved in the data transformation; - providing data training as required - whether myself, or else as provided by the centralised Data Office in order to improve the data culture in the business; - data strategy, in conjunction with our move to the cloud, incl. focus on referential data (product, client); In addition to my CDO role, I am working as a Project Manager for our strategic client reporting and query solution - closely linked to the data and digital transformation the business is going through. This has involved working closely with key stakeholders in the business, particularly on the Sales side, as well as operations and technology. I am currently on the UK Governing body for the Evanta UK CDO Community, a peer-driven community with an agenda shaped by a leadership team of influential Chief Data Officers from the UK's largest organisations, all with a focus on driving real-world solutions to the leadership challenge CDOs face in today's business climate. I am also a member of the A-team Group Data Management Insight (DMI) Advisory Board. Previously I worked in the Operations Regulatory Reporting Team as an SME, and has 22 years’ experience in regulatory and asset management operations. Involved in MiFIR and EMIR regulatory reporting and other non-financial regulatory reporting including Dodd-Frank, Canada, REMIT, as well as new regulations such as SFTR. This role also focused on various regulatory referential data initiatives such as counter-party and product referential data - always looking for opportunities to improve the data quality and ensuring that good controls and governance are in place.
